Additional Info: My name is Quing Teng. I've been born into a music family, my father was a violin Professor at Wuhan Conservatory of Music for more than thirty years and mother was a violin teacher there also. I began my study of violin since I was five years old. And been trained in both Wuhan and Central Conservatory of Music in China for most of the time. Professor Hugh Bean, a comprehensive violinist of Britain Royal Conservatory of Music in London, said once after seeing my performance " her performance is excellent. She is one of the most talented violinists with a bright future". I've won some awards in National Violin Competitions in China. Also attended both College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and New World school of Arts in Florida. Studied with renowned Professors such as Maolong Teng, Felicia Moyer, Kurt Sassmanshous, Paul Kantor and Ms. Dorothy Delay. Have won some fellowships of Aspen Music Festival. In the winter of 1992, successfully performed Frank's violin Sonata in the White House in Washington D.C. In 1994, won the Permanent first Violinist position for the San Antonio Symphony amongst highest standard candidates and won the Alternative Associate Concertmaster audition the following year and worked there for almost twenty years. During the summer of 1996 won an international audition and was appointed the Ass. Principle Second Violinist in the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan. Also in the following summer won another international audition and was appointed Ass. Principle Second Violinist in Spoleto Music Festival in Italy, where performed on the same stage with the world renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
